A woman who is already before the courts for giving pigs water, is back in trouble.
With her trail on recess until November 1st, Anita Krajnc was reportedly arrested at the scene of a tractor trailer crash on Wednesday morning.
This time, Halton Police say she's been charged with obstructing police and breach of recognizance, and has been released on a promise to appear in court.
The crash involved a single tractor trailer carrying about 180 pigs to slaughter in Burlington.
Police closed a section of Harvester Road and Appleby Line for several hours while they cleaned up the scene.
Officers confirmed about 40 pigs died in the crash, and the rest were walked to the slaughterhouse.
At one point, upwards of 50 protestors were clogging the interesection and reportedly keeping police from being able to do their jobs.
In a video posted to Twitter, protesters can be seen holding signs and yelling “justice for animals.”
At one point, a female protester is led toward a cruiser in handcuffs by police. Another protester can be heard shouting, “We love you Anita.”
