Toronto police have identified the city's 7th murder victim of the year.
21-year-old Tyrone Tomlinson was visiting friends on Langford Avenue in the Pape and Daforth area when just after midnight he was gunned down in front of a home.
Officers found Tomlinson on the ground with life threatening injuries, he was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later.
A man was seen fleeing the scene, eastbound, on foot. He was wearing dark clothing, a hood and possibly a knapsack-style bag.
Police say at the request of the family, no photograph of the victim will be released at this time.
