Police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in Woodbridge on Friday as 24-year-old Roy Khan.
Paramedics were called to a home in the Highway 7 and Pine Valley Drive area around 7 a.m. Friday for an injured man.
It wasn't until they loaded him into the ambulance they noticed he had been shot.
Kahn was pronounced dead a short time later.
29-year-old Kevin Khemraj Deonath of Toronto was taken into custody Friday around 2:30 p.m.
He is facing a second-degree murder charge.
Deonath will appear in court again Monday or Tuesday according to a York Regional Police news release for a bail hearing.
His relationship to the victim has not yet been released.
Homicide detectives remained on the scene Saturday.
