Peel Police say they have issued an arrest warrant for a 37-year-old Toronto man following a hit and run incident over the weekend that left five people injured in Mississauga.
The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. Sunday in front of &CO Resto Bar at 295 Enfield Place near Burnhamthorpe and Hurontario.
Peel Regional Police Const. Sarah Patten confirmed to NEWSTALK 1010 Sunday morning the inicident occurred after a dispute inside the club.
"Security ended up escorting them out because of this, and the altercation continued out onto the street," she said.
That's when the male suspect retrieved his vehicle and drove back towards the group, "got out and continued to fight."
"He then shortly after got back into his vehicle, drove it up onto the sidewalk hitting five people still involved in the altercation."
Patten confirmed three of the victims are females in their 20's, one of whom - a 23-year-old woman - suffered serious but non-life threatening injures.
All the other injuries were considered minor.
Peel Police say they're looking for Michael Polynice. He is described as black, approximately 5'6" with a medium build and dark hair in braids. He was last seen wearing dark coloured pants and a shirt with a heart symbol and eyes.
He is wanted for three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, and one count of failing to stop.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark coloured Acura with no front plate.
Anyone with any information, or dashcam or surveillance video, is asked to contact Peel Police or Crime Stoppers.
