A man is dead after being hit by a dump truck on Lawrence near the Allen.
It happened just after 1 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the truck originally left the scene, but was later tracked down by police who say the driver and company who owns the truck are both co-operating.
Officers are looking into the possibility that the driver of the truck may have had no idea they'd hit somone. But police say this is no longer considered a "fail-to-remain" collision.
The pedestrian was seiously injured and died in hospital a short time later. He's been identified as a 40-year-old man.
Police say the man was in the crosswalk, moving from the north side of Lawrence, to the south side. The driver of the truck was exiting the Allen, when the collision happened.
So far, no charges have been laid.
