TORONTO - Police say they have taken a male suspect into custody following an alleged carjacking in Scarborough.
The initial call came in at about 12:10 p.m. Saturday.
Officers say a woman in her 30s was standing near her car at Bellamy Road North and Ellesmere Road when she was approached by a man.
The man demanded she give him her keys.
Investigators allege the man then took her keys and drove off in the vehicle.
Just after 6 p.m., police announced they had located both the vehicle and the suspect.

There's no word on charges or motivation behind the alleged crime.
No injuries were reported.
