UPDATE Police release images of man wanted in connection with a downtown shooting

Police say one person was shot.

Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Toronto.

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday outside the Thompson Diner near Bathurst and Wellington streets.

Paramedics say a man in his 20s was shot in the knee and his injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

Police have now released security camera images of the suspect they are looking for.

He is described as between 25 and 35-years-old, 5'8"-5'10" with a medium build.  He has short dark hair and a groomed chinstrap beard.

He was last seen wearing a black spring jacket, with a white shirt underneath, and dark pants.
