Parishioners were turned away from Easter masses this morning at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church after a flammable device was thrown through a window.
Now Toronto police have released photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the fire at the church in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West area.

Spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Toronto Neil MacCarthy told CP24 the device was through a window of the building around 7:30 Sunday morning.
He said "It appears that someone threw a flammable device through a window into the church and a small fire erupted. Thankfully no one was inside the church so no one was injured and the device kind of extinguished itself after some time.”
Staff discovered smoke in the building when they arrived to prepare for mass around 8:00 a.m. The fire was quickly put out.
Toronto police said the fire appears to have been deliverately set, but Toronto Fire Services says they have not yet determined exactly what type of device caused the fire.
