An update to a story we told you about on NEWSTALK1010 on Wednesday.
A 16-year-old high school student stabbed near East York Collegiate in the Coxwell and Cosburn area around 3:15 in the afternoon.
And there are a couple updates from Toronto police.
First, officers say they've made an arrest, picking up a 17-year-old and charging him with attempted murder.
And the second update has to do with the teen's injuries.
We knew that he was taken to hospital in serious condition on Wednesday, but we've found out just how serious it was.
When he was stabbed in the leg, the blade sliced an artery.
"His injuries were so bad that it was to the extent that he could have had his leg amputated had the surgery not been successful." says Const. Jen Sidhu from Toronto Police.
The boy is expected to survive.
Police say they are still looking for a second suspect.
