Toronto Police continue to look for a vehicle that struck a woman who, for reasons they have yet to determine, lay down in the street in the Dundas and Sherbourne area earlier this month.
Police say the 45-year-old stepped onto Dundas Street East, east of Sherbourne Street around 4 a.m. August 15, 2017.
Police say a light-coloured minivan was eastbound on Dundas Street, but was able to avoid hitting the woman, a dark-coloured SUV was eastbound on Dundas Street and struck the woman.
She was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead Thursday August 17, 2017.
The driver and vehicle are currently sought in relation to this collision. The driver may not have been aware that a woman was struck.
Police have released security video of the SUV. It is described as a dark-coloured 2014-2017 Dodge Durango Citadel, with tinted windows.

Police are requesting anyone who was in the area on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at approximately 4:05 a.m., and who has any information, to contact police.
