Demonstrators marched from the U.S. Consulate to the federal courts on Queen Street in downtown Toronto Saturday.
They were there to protest U.S. President Donald Trump's executive order to ban travellers and immigrants from seven predominately Muslim countries.
“The war waged against Muslims and refugees worldwide has reached its boiling point with Trump’s presidency,” protest organizers wrote on Facebook.
Organizers have created a list of demands that include the official condemnation of Trump’s immigration policy, and the ending of indefinite immigration detention in Canada.
The march started at 12:30 p.m. and wrapped up around 4:30 p.m.
Toronto police and the RCMP were there along the route to monitor the situation, which was peaceful throughout the day.
On Monday, hundreds of people gathered outside the Consulate and blocked University Avenue for hours.
