Toronto Police have identified the victim in the latest fatal shooting in the city.
72-year-old Vito Lapolla, a retired carpenter, was gunned down while sitting in his car outside of a plaza, near Dufferin and Glencairn on Monday evening.
Police are still looking for the suspect who took off from the area in a white SUV, last seen headed north on Dufferin Street.
He's described as between 5'10" and 5'11", thin build and dressed all in black with a hooded sweater.
Meanwhile, Counillor Josh Colle is calling for more to be done about gun violence in the city.
"I'm just like everybody in the area and everybody in Toronto, we're fed up and disgusted. Got shot and killed by another gun thug."
No arrests have been made.
Reports say a gun was left at the scene.
Police haven't said whether the victim was targeted but they believe he was the only person shot it.
