A special weather statement has been issued for all of southern Ontario for Tuesday.
Environment Canada says an area of low pressure will bring a mixed bag of precipitation to Southern Ontario on Tuesday.
Meteorologist David Rogers says it could start out as snow or freezing rain and change to rain quickly to the west of Toronto, but in the city freezing rain could last several hours and definitely impact the morning commute. It is expected to change to rain later in the day.
Rogers says the weather will start late Monday night into Tuesday.
"It's going to impact a large chunk of the province, that's for sure." Rogers says.
Difficult travelling conditions can be expected across much of Southern Ontario.
