TTC trains are back up and running on line 1 between Lawrence and St. Clair stations after the line was suspended Tuesday afternoon
Crews working above the line near Lawrence "infiltrated" the subway tunnel from street level.
A spokesperson for the TTC wouldn't confirm how that happened.
The suspension of service occurred just after 4 p.m. cfausing headaches for commuters through the always busy rush hour.
It wasn't clear how the long the subway would be out of commission, but just after 6 p.m. the TTC gave the all clear for the resumption of service.
