Part of Toronto's downtown subway line was shut down due to a problem with a train losing power connectivity with the third rail.
The transit commission says the line was shut down, between Osgoode and Bloor-Yonge stations, just before noon because of an issue on the tracks.
Spokesman Stuart Green says one train had to be evacuated.
The 54 passengers aboard had to walk through the tunnel.
Green says shuttle buses were called in to help with the backlog of passengers.
Green says thousands of Toronto Raptors fans are expected to try to take the subway to get to Jurassic Park downtown to watch the NBA Finals game against the Golden State Warriors.
