Investigators say they've found a suspect vehicle they've been searching for in connection with Thursday's playground shooting in Scarborough.
Toronto Police Supt. Mark Barkley says the vehicle was found in Pickering before noon on Friday, in the area of Livepool Rd. and Highway 2.
It was around dinner time on Thursday that shots rang out next to a playground, near McCowan Rd. and Steeles Ave.
Two sisters, a 5-year old and a 9-year old, are recovering from gunshot wounds in hospital. They're expected to recover.
Barkley says no arrests have been made and that there is still no sign of a man who was in the playground at the time of the shooting.
Its believed he could have been the target.
Barkley says his officers are following up leads and that he's confident the person or people responsible for the shooting will be caught.
