An hour later, Toronto blew by the record for hottest day ever in the entire month of February reaching a balmy 16.5 degrees. The old record was set just a year ago on February 17 when the mercury hit 15.5.
Environment Canada is forecasting an afternoon high of 18 degrees in Toronto.
