Hamilton Police say three youths have been charged with first degree murder after a crash Monday night.

They say they were called to the Patterson and Wesley Road area of Dundas just after 7:30 p.m. after a car went off the road and into a wooded area.

They found a 17-year-old boy dead inside and police say his injuries are inconsistent with a collision.

Police later identified the boy as Abdalla Hassan, and say he died of a gunshot wound.

Witnesses reported seeing three males running from the area. The suspects were arrested not far away.

Two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old have been charged in Hamilton's second murder of 2019.

Details of a motive haven't been released, but police have said they aren't looking for any more suspects.
