Toronto could set temperature records this week.
The mild start today is only the beginning of the unseasonably warm conditions expected through Wednesday.
In fact, Environment Canada meteorologist Jeff Coulson says this week could include a couple of record-setting days for temperatures.
There are strong warm winds arriving from the south-west that are set to blow through the GTA. They're expected to bring with them wet, but mild conditions.
The normal high for this time of year is 1 degree but Toronto could reach up to 15 degrees on Tuesday (the record is 12.5, set in 2016), and up to 13 degrees on Wednesday (the record is 12.9 set in 1997).
Environment Canada is out with a Special Weather Statement that predicts 10 to 20 mm of rain may fall by Tuesday morning.
There's a cold front on the way for Wednesday night, which should bring temperatures closer to seasonal for the last half of the week.
