Toronto Hydro has confirmed power has been fully restored to nearly 7,000 customers in the city.
The outage affected residents in the area bounded by Mount Pleasant Road, Ossington Avenue, College Street and St. Clair Avenue.
The utility company had originally targeted a time of 1 p.m to have the power restored but tweeted out "repairs are taking longer
than expected due to complications caused by equipment failure." A downed tree that snapped a power line was also to be blame for the outage.
A Toronto Hydro spokesperson confirmed to Newstalk 1010 via email that all power had been restored just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening
