The driver of a semi-truck that collided with a coach bus carrying members of the Humboldt Broncos junior team is facing 29 counts of dangerous driving.
16 players and members of the team staff were killed, another 13 injured in the powerful April 6 crash where two rural highways intersect.
29-year-old Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was arrested Friday morning at his Calgary home.
Sidhu faces 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily injury. He is due in court next week.
The Mounties refused to detail what they are alleging Sidhu did wrong, only that he was driving dangerously.

The Broncos were heading to the town of Nipawin for a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoff game when their bus and a semi truck carrying a load of peat moss crashed at an intersection.
In April, Alberta Transportation suspended the operating licence of the company that owns the truck involved, a standard move after a serious crash.
The crash tore a gash through the heart of Humboldt with a population of less than 6,000 and garnered emotional tributes from around the globe. Over $15 million was raised through a GoFundMe campaign for families of the victims and survivors.
