Two pedestrians were struck and killed in two seperate incidents in Peel region Monday night.
A male pedestrian died following an accident in Mississauga.The collision took place in the area of Dixie Road and Bloor Street just after 8:30 p.m. as the man in his 40's was crossing the street, according to Const. Bancroft Wright.
"The pedestrian was crossing the street struck by a vehicle,at that point we understand that he had no vital signs. He was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced while on transport."
Const Wright also confirmed that a man believed to be in his 20's was struck and killed crossing the road at Mississauga Road and Queen Street in Brampton around 9:30 p.m
"Pedestrian crossing the intersection was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian succumb to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced a short time after."
Wright also confirmed to Newstalk 1010 that the drivers of both vehicles involved remained on scene..
