Toronto Police have identified the victim of a shooting in the Eglinton Avenue and Sloane Avenue area as a 25-year-old man.
Police say Friday, November 18, just after 6 p.m. officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the area, just east of the DVP.
An SUV was stopped at a traffic light when another SUV pulled up alongside and opened fire.
The victim has been identified as Adrian Thomas and he was known to police.
Det. Brandon Price said investigators believe Thomas was targeted, but the gunfire that killed him could have easily harmed others.
Police believe there were lots of people in the area at the time who may have seen the incident and ask anyone with information to contact them.
Police also said they have reason to believe that the incident, or suspect SUV, was captured by dash cam recorders or cell phones.
