There is another terrifying warning from police to parents in the Malvern area about a man approaching a child, and in the latest case there was physical contact.
Over the past six weeks, there have been four incidents involving a potential sex offender or a man trying to lure a child.
Police say it is possible that the same man was involved in each case.
Most recently, a 10-year-old girl was approached by a man while walking along a trail near McLevin Ave and Malvern St. Police say she was assaulted, she was able to kick the man and run away.
Police describe the suspect only as brown-skinned with his face covered and dressed all in black.
On February 10 and March 7, kids were allegedly approached near Burrows Hall Blvd and Purvis Cr, near Burrows Hall Junior Public, about 2 km from the scene of Tuesday's attack.
Police say in the first instance the man rolled up to two nine-year-old boys in his car and asked them to get in. The boys ran away and the man drove off. In the second case, police say the man was persistent offering two 10-year-old boys and a five-year-old girl a lift and the children again made a run for it.
The man's vehicle is described as a charcoal, metallic grey or silver-coloured four-door car. The man himself is described only as having a brown complexion wearing reading glasses. He may have been wearing a Blue Jays shirt and ballcap in one of the incidents.
On March 10, a man wearing a ski mask, sunglasses and black clothes allegedly climbed out of a dark grey or black sedan and ran toward a 10-year-old girl who on her way home from school. Police say she sprinted into Malvern Junior Public School for help.
Given the similarities in suspect description and location, police say it is possible that it might be the same man each time.
If it is the same person, behavioural analyst and former OPP investigator Jim Van Allen says it is concerning that the man's actions have escalated from offering a ride to physical contact.
"It sounds like he's getting committed," Allen says. "He definitely knows what he wants to do.
"It's suggestive that this individual is getting closer to an actual abduction scenario."
Police have said that it appears the suspect is targeting the two elementary schools in the neighbourhood before and after classes, when he would know there would be many children around. Det. Sgt Gerald Heaney said earlier this month that the man might blend in with the parents who are in a rush to drop off and pick up their children from school.
"It's concerning that he's not more composed and he's willing to take this level of risk," Allen says.
Police say they have increased their presence in the neighbourhood. The Toronto District School Board has warned parents about the risk, and teachers have had discussions with their students about the danger.
