Two men are being treated in hospital after a wrong-way driver hit two vehicles on the Gardiner Expressway.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. in the Gardiner's westbound lanes near the South Kingsway.
Police say the wrong-way driver, who they describe as elderly and confused, hit a large truck and another vehicle.
The drivers of the wrong-way vehicle and of the smaller vehicle hit were taken to hospital. Paramedics describe their injuries as serious.
It is not clear how long the wrong-way driver may have been going eastbound in the Gardiner's westbound lanes.
Westbound lanes of Gardiner were closed at the Jameson for the investigation and cleanup but re-opened before 5 a.m.
