The woman who was caught on video allegedly pitching a chair over a balcony at a highrise in Toronto, has been released on bail.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, 19-year-old Marcella Zoia turned herself in to police.
She's facing three charges that include mischief, endangering life, mischief or damage to property under $5,000 and common nuisance.
Zoia was released on $2,000 bail and has been ordered to follow conditions.
She's forced to live with her mother, and can't be around the four other people who were in the unit at the time of the alleged incident.
The teen is also not allowed at two buildings in Maple Leaf Square, both of them on Bremner.
Her lawyer spoke outside of court while Zoia flashed a large grin.
"She wishes it never happened. Of course she woul dnever wish that anybody be hurt." says lawyer Gregory Leslie.
He says they'll have discussions with the crown and admits the case may never get to trial.
The group Fairbnb believes the unit where the video was shot, was being rented out as a short term rental.
When contacted, Airbnb couldn't confirm that it was, but did release a statement.
"We remain outraged by the blatant disregard for community safety on display in the video. We have no evidence at this time to suggest that the accused has ever been an Airbnb user, but we have suspended the account of a guest with a reservation at the building pending further review. We reached out yesterday to Toronto Police to offer our full support in their investigation of any individuals involved with this abhorrent act."
