The city has a warning for illegal pot shops: They're coming for you.
A week after Toronto's first legal shop opened, a city official says they know of 20 illegal cannabis stores still open for business.
Mark Sraga, with the city's municipal licensing and standards, is promising aggressive enforcement to shut these stores down.
He tells NEWSTALK 1010's Moore in the Morning, they will be seizing product and locking the doors of these stores.
He's also warning property owners that they too could be on the hook for allowing unlicensed pot shops to open on their properties.
The fines can be as high as $1 million.
Toronto currently has two legal pot shops open. The province has allowed for five.
