There were major road closures Tuesday morning as melting snow and rising river levels led to flooding.
The Don Valley Parkway had to be closed late Monday night in both directions from Bloor down to the Gardiner Expressway, all due to pooling and ponding at the highway's south end.
All lanes reopened by 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
There were also closures along the Bayview extension.
The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority has increased its flood watch to a warning as the melting snow leads to rising water levels in GTA rivers and streams.
The main concern was the Don River.
Meantime, Toronto broke a 28-year record on Monday when the temperature reached 12.2 C at Pearson.
More seasonal conditions will return for the rest of the week, including a messy mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain for Wednesday.
