The province is set to report more than 900 cases of COVID-19 today, according to sources speaking to CBC News.
It's a number that would smash yesterday's record of 797.
Modelling last month forecasted 1,000 new cases per day in Ontario by mid-October.

CBC is reporting that the government is considering tighter measures to try to slow the spread of the virus, including a modified version of Stage 2 restrictions in hotspots. Stage 2 forced restaurants to close indoor dining and closed gyms and movie theatres. It's not clear which measures would be included in this modified version.
Toronto Mayor John Tory, on CP24, said he expects the province to announce new measures today, including some that will affect indoor dining.
Toronto's Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Eileen de Villa, has called on the province to close indoor dining at restaurants and bars and restrict group fitness classes.
