Environment Canada now says we could see about 25cms of snow in Toronto, but the time the white stuff stops falling Tuesday morning.
The snow is expected to last until sometime between 5 or 6 in the morning on Tuesday, which will likely affect the morning commute as well.
The extra moisture from the lake is ramping up the snow totals for Toronto, according to forecaster Gerald Cheng.
Mark Mills from the City of Toronto says they'll be attacking this one from all sides.
"This storm will be an all hands on deck situation for sure," he said. "We will probably have to deploy our 1,100 pieces of equipment."
That's made up of 600 plow trucks, 200 salt trucks and 300 sidewalk plows.
The major roads like DVP and the Gardiner saw plows around 3pm, after the city had been salting since around noon.
Don't expect to see a plow in your neighbourhood, on your sidestreet until sometime between midnight and 1am.
Mills said crews will work through the evening and overnight to make sure major roads are ready for Tuesday's morning commute.
