Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health, says they are recommending against traditional trick or treating in Ontario this Halloween.
Dr. David Williams says in a release, that recommendation is for areas in a modified version of Stage 2, like Toronto, Peel Region, York Region and Ottawa.
Instead, he suggests encouraging kids to dress up and participate in a virtual party, a candy hunt with people in the same household, having a stay-at-home movie night or sharing scary stories.
He says it is also critical that families not travel outside of their neighbourhood to celebrate Halloween, and to avoid gatherings with people outside of your household.
