It has been more than four months since his arrest, and alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur's case continues to slowly inch forward in court.
The 66-year-old appeared briefly via video Wednesday, wearing an orange jumpsuit and slouching towards the camera at the Toronto South Detention Centre.
His lawyer told court that they continue to receive disclosure, or evidence, from the Crown.
Last week, police said they have completed their search of McArthur's Thorncliffe apartment, taking 18,000 photos and seizing 1,800 exhibits. Their overall investigation, though, continues as they search other properties.
McArthur faces eight counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of men associated with Toronto's gay village.
He will be back in front of a judge on June 22, two days after the lawyers meet behind closed doors to work out some of the logistics of the case.
