A man is being questioned by police in connection with a threat made against a Toronto elementary school.
Duke of Connaught Public School near Queen St E and Greenwood Ave has been under a 'hold and secure' since Thursday morning.
Police say the man in custody is facing domestic-related charges but will not elaborate. Police have not shared any details about what they have described as an unconfirmed threat.
The Toronto District School Board says while police have told them they don't have any safety concerns, Duke of Connaught will start the day under hold and secure as a precaution.
Under a hold and secure the doors to the school are locked with no one permitted in or out. Students are also kept inside for recess. Uniformed police as well as security guards were stationed at Duke of Connaught Friday.
The measures were first instituted after officials at the school called police at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
