Two men have been arrested in the beating death of an American tourist in Toronto, and police are looking for a third suspect.
26-year-old Julian Jones died after he was repeatedly punched and kicked outside a bar near College and Bathurst Sts early Saturday morning. He was in town from Maryland for a friend's bachelor party.
Police say as Jones and his friends were leaving the bar, they were "set upon" by a group of men who wanted to fight.
Insp. Bryan Bott says Jones and his friends did not want to take part in any altercation.
Jones was separated from his friends and ended up on the ground, according to police.
Det. Gary Giroux says Jones was "helpless" as he was attacked.
Giroux says police have surveillance video from inside the bar, as well as cell phone video taken by one of Jones' friends. They were able to identify two suspects using the footage, he says.
24-year-old Kamari Folkes and 25-year-old Kenneth Omorogbe have been charged with second-degree murder. Giroux says a third man was involved in the beating, and investigators are trying to identify him.
