In a field of bland, Conservative leadership hopeful Andrew Saxton is hoping bland will pay off big for him.
The former north Vancouver MP has released a video explaining why she should be leader and the message is clear: He's boring.
He says he is proud of being dubbed "the most generic-brand leadership candidate" by the National Post.
He opens the video by saying "I'm a middle aged male running for conservative leader."
The 53-year-old talks about not having "pretty hair or being a big tv personality" as advantages for leading the Conservative party.
"Government was never supposed to be show business," he says in front of an all white background.
Towards the end of the clip Saxton says "Canadians just want someone they can trust, and the truth is you can trust boring."
