More than a week after a six-alarm fire at Yonge and St. Clair, about 10 businesses are still closed because of damage to their properties.
The city didn't allow clean-up and construction crews to enter the shuttered businesses on Yonge St until a couple of days ago because of structural concerns.
Crews are finally starting to dry out and renovate the water-damaged basements.
The owner of The Bagel House says he hopes they can re-open next week. Other business owners say it might be "weeks" before they can open their doors to customers.
