Exactly seven months after the crack gunfire sent terrified scores of people running for cover, Toronto Police confirm the investigation into the Danforth shooting is closed.
But Chief Mark Saunders isn't ready to share what detectives found, not yet.
"I have to speak with certain people that are directly involved and are victims of this," Saunders told reporters Friday. "I certainly don't want their first blush of finding out what we're going to talk about to be the screen."
Ten-year-old Julianna Kozis and 18-year-old Reese Fallon were killed in the July 22, 2018 shooting. 13 others were injured. A final report by Ontario's Special Investigations Unit released in January confirmed that shooter Faisal Hussain died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Citing a source, NEWSTALK 1010's sister station CP24 reports police have determined that Hussain acted alone and was a "troubled man".
The Chief declined to confirm those details, saying he didn't want release information bit by bit.
"There are people that were hurt in large numbers, people still hurting from that. I don't want to add to that hurt."
Search warrants show a search of Hussain's room turned up a slew of guns and ammunition including two magazines for an AK-47, two drum magazines, two magazines for a 9 mm handgun and socks filled with loose ammunition.
Police also found several conspiracy theory DVDs focused on 9/11, terrorism and Islam.
Hussain family
Hussain's family has described him as not very interested in religion and dealing with "severe mental-health challenges,” including depression and psychosis.
Police were called three times in 2010 for issues around Hussain's mental health.
Relatives of Faisal's victims banded together Friday to call on the federal government to ban ownership of handguns and assault rifles.
