A child found in a hot car in an Etobicoke parking lot, has died.
Toronto Police would only say the child is "younger than 5" but wouldn't even identify the sex of the child.
They also indicated, they have one person in custody, but their relationship to the toddler remains a mystery.
"If I release that relationship, it would identify a victim or a witness, so we're not going to go with that." says Constable David Hopkinson with Toronto Police.
The child was found just after 1 o'clock, and the mini-van was parked behind 299 Mill Road, near Burnhamthorpe. It's unclear how long the van had been parked there, but there's some indication it was left early this morning.
