More than 35 criminal charges against 10 people have been announced in connection with so-called motorcycle mobs in and around Toronto.
Provincial Police say seven of the people have already been arrested, while they continue to search for the remaining three.
Five of the bikes allegedly used in the mobs have been seized.
"The danger these riders presented to themselves and to the unsuspecting drivers they distracted, cut off, or totally stopped in live lanes is beyond belief," Supt. Alison Jevons said. "These stunts that self-servingly fuel their egos needed to be stopped before anyone was killed or maimed."
Police have long said drivers have been complaining about the large groups of sport bikes riding in packs, with some of the riders performing stunts on public roads.
They've been called out to 20 different occasions, this summer alone where the bikers were taking over highways like the 403, the Gardiner, the 401 and the Don Valley Parkway.
In many instances, the riders themselves would film it and post it to social media.
"We thank the participants for providing us with this evidence." said Superintendant Allison Jevons.
Provincial police previously laid charges in March in relation to similar incidents on Toronto-area highways in 2016. One rider was killed in July last year when he collided with a transport truck as a group of motorcyclists travelling as a pack on Highway 401 slowed traffic while performing stunts.
