Hundreds of Forest Hill residents could be sweating, without power until Tuesday afternoon as Toronto Hydro struggles to get the lights back on.
The lights of some 720 hydro customers were knocked out before 9 p.m. Monday in an area bounded by Briar Hill Ave, Eglinton Ave W, Bathurst St, and Latimer Ave.
Residents describe stifling, sleepless nights and tricky morning routines without power.
Toronto Hydro workers have been in the area trying to fix the problem since 10 p.m. but have had a difficult time locating the problem underground.
The initial estimated time of restoration was 11:30 p.m. Monday. That was pushed to 7 a.m. Tuesday. Toronto Hydro now says it's unable to give a clear estimate.
