It will be much easier to pay for city parking in Toronto by the end of the year.
The mobile app is being expanded to include all on-street parking in the coming weeks. So far, the app has only been available at Green P lots.
Mayor John Tory was joined by city staff on Elm St, near Bay and College Sts, to announce the expansion.
"For me, this kind of stuff just makes sense and is long overdue," Tory says of the technology. "Let's face facts, we were behind as a city. We allowed ourselves to fall behind."
The app allows you to pay for parking on your phone. The convenience really kicks in when you are able to extend your parking directly from your mobile device, without having to walk to your car.
You can find more information on the Toronto Parking Authority's website.
