If your daily drive takes you along the eastern part of Lakeshore Blvd. or into the Canary District, you’ve probably been wondering about a new addition to the neighbourhood skyline.
Those four enormous, white tents you see near the foot of the Don River are helping crews form more than slabs of reinforced concrete so they can be snapped into place ‘like LEGO’ along 1km of the East Gardiner Expressway.
Construction is set to start next month, and expected to last until early 2021.
It means this portion of the Gardiner East will be reduced to 2 lanes in each direction while crews work 24/7 to get the job done.
