John Tory has won a second term as Mayor of Toronto, beating out second-place runner Jennifer Keesmaat by over 290,000 votes.
Keesmaat took the stage at her election party headquarters to concede to Tory at 8:40 PM.
Some long-time Toronto city councillors have lost their positions at city hall due to the shrinking of council size.
In ward 7, Humber River-Black Creek, Giorgio Mammoliti lost to Anthony Perruzza by over 2,400 votes. In Scarborough-Agincourt, Norm Kelly, the "6ix Dad", lost to Jim Karygiannis by over 2,400 votes. Vincent Crisanti lost to Michael Ford, nephew of Premier Doug Ford by 2,000 votes in ward 1 Etobicoke North.
Ward 12, Toronto-St. Paul's saw quite a shake-up with Joe Mihevc losing to Josh Matlow by almost 4,000 votes. In Don Valley West, Jon Burnside lost to Jaye Robinson by nearly 3,000 votes.
