Businessman and reality TV star, Kevin O'Leary, has announced he will run for the Federal Conservative leadership.
He made the announcement on Facebook Live. O'Leary wrote, "It's official, I'm in. The Conservative Party of Canada needs a candidate who can beat Justin Trudeau and bring back jobs to this country!"
He joined NEWSTALK 1010's Moore in the Morning, where he went on the attack against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"A lot of people in Canada are starting to feel that heavy feeling of failure in the Trudeau mandate," O'Leary said.
He says he wanted to wait to enter the race until some of the other candidates had dropped out but, "that hasn't happened."
O'Leary will be competing against 13 other candidates, including MPs Kellie Leitch, Maxime Bernier and Steven Blaney. They faced off in a French-language debate Tuesday night.
"You didn't learn anything about the great ideas these candidates have because they didn't have enough time to tell them to you," O'Leary said of the debate.
