Toronto Police have a person in custody after a reported stabbing at the College Street subway station, at Yonge and College.
Police say they were called around 12:40 on Monday afternoon, for reports of a man who had been stabbed. Police believe it happened on the southbound train, and the man collapsed on the platform of the station when the train stopped.
That man suffered serious injuries to his face, but is expected to live.
Minutes later, a Transit Enforcement Officer saw someone who they believed to be responsible for the stabbing. A short chase was followed by, what's being called a "violent struggle", and that person was taken into custody.
Police can't say what started the incident, or if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
The northbound lane of Yonge is closed down as it passes the station at College.
