Toronto Police say a missing 6 year-old girl has been found safe, after disappearing from an apartment building near Midland and Eglinton.
She was last seen at around 1am, and police report she was found just before 1 p.m. But, the little girl was found "quite a distance from where she went missing", near Bathurst and Eglinton.
She approached a bystander who called 9-1-1, police say, and she was alone at the time. It was initially reported that Jasmine was not dressed for the weather however she was found with a coat and hat on.
Police say they’re still trying to figure out how she got there. They have seen video of her leaving the apartment building but won’t say whether she was alone or with someone at that time. The girl's mother noticed her daughter was missing at 5am but didn’t call police until after 7am.
