There's a new update in a story from earlier this week.
Two children were burned by hot tar that leaked through the roof of their school gym.
This happened Monday at Derrydown Public School in North York.
One of those kids and his mother are now speaking publically about their ordeal.
8-year old Jeremiah Azeriah was interviewed by NEWSTALK 1010's Bell Media partner CTV News.
He says he was playing with his friends when the hot tar began raining down on top of them.
He was left with burns to his neck and arms and there is so much tar in his hair the nurses can't get it all out.
On the day of the incident Jeremiah's injuries were described as minor.
His mom says that's a huge understatement.
Nyoka Colman tells CTV she feels the school failed to keep her son safe.
Jeremiah is still at Sick Kids.
The TDSB is investigating.
