A dog sledding company north of Barrie is being investigated by the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals after they received complaints of alleged abuse.
The OSPCA confirms it is following up on concerns regarding the Windrift Adventures kennel in Moonstone.
"The Society takes all reported concerns of animal cruelty seriously. We want to assure the public that the protection and care of the dogs is our top priority," Melissa Kosowan with the OPSCA writes in a statement. "As this is an ongoing investigation, the details we can provide are limited in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation."
On Sunday, Natasha Guerriero posted video to her Facebook page (see above), which shows dogs chained up at the kennel, with what appears to be a sore on one of the animal's legs.
The OSPCA is asking anyone with new, first-hand information on the investigation to contact them.
