Police have extended the $50,000 reward, in hopes of finding the person responsible for a murder that happened in 2016 in Liberty Village.
26-year-old Kiesingar Gunn was shot and killed when he tried to intervene in a fight outside of a nightclub in September of that year. Police say he was trying to help a friend, but they say they don't believe he was the intended target of the bullets.
The married father of four, was hit in the head and later pronounced dead in hospital.
Toronto Police announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, a reward that has now been extended until September of 2020. That reward was first announced two years ago, and was set to expire this week.
“We are hoping that by extending this reward it will give an incentive for someone who witnesses the incident and can identify the suspect to come forward,” Det. Leslie Dunkley said.
The person they are looking for is described as a black man, between 18-22-years-old, with a darl complexion. He's between 5'11" and 6' tall with a slim build and braided haifr that was possibly in corn rows. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sheartshirt with black prints or a logo on it.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police.
