Toronto Police have a real mystery on their hands, after a parachutist was spotted flying over downtown Toronto.
He or she landed somewhere near Rosedale Valley Road and Sherbourne Street.
Video clearly shows someone flying into the park area.
The video was initially posted by Twitter user Erica Lewin. In her tweet, she says "But can someone explain to me why I just saw people parachuting into downtown Toronto?"
Lewin first mentions that she spotted two parachutists, but police could not confirm that.
Newstalk1010 spoke with Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook about their ongoing investigation into this bizarre incident.
"This occurred yesterday at around 7 p.m. We received a couple of calls reporting that someone had been seen parachuting off of one of the highrise buildings. The initial call was that the person appeared to be in some kind of distress - that the parachute did not seem to open fully."
Douglas-Cook goes on to say, "Our units did respond. We did not find anyone."
If caught, this person could face serious charges.
"There is the potential for a criminal charge of public mischief to be laid against someone who participates in this kind of activity within the city limits."
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
